Questions I would ask my target audience:
  • Would the front cover of this magazine appeal to you if you was to see it in shop?
  • What is your favourite page?
  • Would you pay £2.50 for this magazine?
  • What do you think of the colour scheme used in the magazine?
  • Would you read more of this magazine?
  • How would you describe this magazines' target audience?
  • What do you think could be improved in the magazine?
  • Does the images, fonts and features appeal to you?
  • What improvement could be made to my magazine?
  • Is the name of the magazine memorable?

For these questions, I recorded an audio by asking my younger sister, Banita, who is 15 years old, and I used the software "Sound cloud", to embed into my blog.

Evaluation- Question 4

Who will be the audience for your media product?

My music magazine "Beauty Of Pop" is aimed at teenagers in between the ages 11 and 18. The gender of my audience would be mainly females, however males could also be able to view my product. Primary audience for gender would be females, and secondary would be males.Due to the majority of my audience being in between the teenagers, young and older, means they would be in full-time education, and for the younger teens they would still be experiencing and learning new things about the world, and they're interest. For younger teens, certain TV programmes are created for their age range, such as "Pop girl"- This gives my type of audience an interest in "girly" stuff, such as fashion, gossip, shopping, news, fame and following in the footsteps of a typical "pop star". The regional identity of my target audience  could vary, as any race or colour can love pop music, and therefore would fit in well with my target audience. This age range does not normally spend a lot of money on buying things like magazines which is why I kept my magazine price at £2.50. For the younger teens, because they are so driven by pop stars and fame, they would have determination to persuade they're parents to buy the magazines of there interest, which would appeal to my audience by all the funky colours on the front cover. My target audience are most likely to be living at home with parents for teens over 16, some could be living in some sort of accommodation, near there college, or in  flat.

The value in live for my target audience would be to, have sleepovers, gossip with friends, having an interest in going out, shopping, to pop music concerts, chatting about boys, looking attractive, having fun with friends and dressing up like "pop stars". They would enjoy youth before taking on responsibilities as they get older. They would spend their money on, heels/shoes, clothes, posters, makeup, from shops like, Forever 21, River Island, Primark, New look and H & M, TopShop- following a glamorous style. They would also buy electronics such as IPods, IPads, Tablets, and music CD's. To engage with media my target audience would listen to music from electronics, mainly smartphones. Some may spend there time on social sites, such as Facebook, twitter or instagram, following there famous stars who they look up to. The older teens could look up to stars such as Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift, and girl bands like, The Saturdays and Little mix, as they're inspiration. Many of my target audience could also be interested in male boy bands, such as one direction and JLS, as they could find them attractive, which is also why I have included male artists in my magazine. As boy bands are commonly known for having a larger fan base of females.

My target audience would look like this...
